Alyse F. Bingham

My goal in life as it pertains to my career is to become a successful freelance writer and editor. I keep a blog, but my aspirations for writing are to penetrate the fiction market – I want to write novels and stories that I wouldn’t be ashamed to have a teenage girl - like my younger sister - read.

Professional Info

I’ve been a blogger since late 2010. I’ve begun taking it more seriously in the past year or so. I’ve owned two, but only one is still active. My personal blog, The Enchanted Owl, has seen dramatic growth in both followers and in interactions. I’ve done sponsored posts for AZO, GlassesUSA.com, and am currently awaiting a product from Firmoo.com to do a product review. My other (retired) blog, We Write Worlds, was a platform for Indie authors to get their work out to others who would be interested in it. I conducted interviews and offered to post samples of their work. In June of 2011, I self-published a collection of short stories, The Trio. They were the product of a fiction workshop I had taken the previous semester at USCB. Since then I have taken a second fiction workshop, and I am currently enrolled in a technical writing workshop.
